Delta Phi Epsilon was founded on March 17, 1917 at New York University Law School. The sorority was founded on the principles of justice, sisterhood, and love. DPhiE is an international, non-sectarian sorority with chapters in the United States and Canada.

The Alpha Pi chapter was founded on

February 18, 1990 at Southern Connecticut State University.
